Lawn Seating at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre

The lawn at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre provides a great view of the stage with the sloping landscape of the venue. Located right behind the reserve seating, the lawn is a general admission section, where many like to see their favorite artist or band for an affordable price. Its recommended to arrive early when sitting in the lawn, as it can fill up quick depending on the event. Most people will bring chairs or blankets for sitting on the grass too.

History and Overview

Opening in the summer of 1981, Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre will be closing at the end of the 2016 summer concert season. Previously known as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, the land lease will not be renewed for Irvine Meadows and instead apartment complexes will be built in its place. This is very unfortunate, as Orange County will lose one of the largest outdoor music venues in the country that have staged such artist as Michael Jackson, The Grateful Dead, and numerous music festivals over the years.

Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre Seat Numbers

The seat numbers at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre follow a simple pattern where seat number "1" is always closer to the center when facing the stage. This pattern is the same for each section, except Orchestra 2 and Loge 6 where seat number one is on the right when facing the stage.
