How Much Are Houston Astros Tickets?

Where do the Houston Astros play their home games?

The Houston Astros play their home games at Minute Maid Park.

What Jersey Numbers are Retired by the Houston Astros?

The Houston Astros have retired the uniform numbers of nine former great players, in addition to Jackie Robinson's #42, which is retired league-wide. The organization has retired #5 for its all-time leader in career WAR and home runs as an Astro, Jeff Bagwell, its all-time hits leader Craig Biggio's #7, star outfielders Jimmy Wynn and Jose Cruz's #24 and #25, respectively, star reliever whose career and life were tragically cut short by cancer, Jim Umbricht's #32, star pitchers Mike Scott and Nolan Ryan's #33 and #34, respectively, pitcher Don Wilson's #40, and pitcher Larry Dierker's #49.

Who are the Houston Astros' Biggest Rivals?

The Astros have a natural rivalry with their fellow Lone Star State team, the Texas Rangers, who play their home games at Globe Life Field and compete with Houston in the AL West. Another big rival of the Astros since they moved to the American League back in 2013 has been the Oakland Athletics, who call RingCentral Coliseum home.

Houston Astros Prospects to Watch

The Astros' top prospect heading into the 2021 season is righty starting pitcher Forrest Whitley, who was the team's first round pick back in 2016. Whitley unfortunately suffered an arm injury that required Tommy John surgery, which will sideline him until next year and keep him from being a factor for the big league club until probably late 2022 or early 2023, but he's still very young and has time to be a major contributor for the team in the future. Another top prospect, Pedro Leon, defected from Cuba and signed the biggest contract of any prospect in the international class of 2020. Leon is extremely toolsy, with a major arm and run tool to pair with great hitting tools that should have him contributing for Houston in a big way come 2022. Righty starter Hunter Brown is another big talent down on the farm for Houston who should be on the Major League roster come 2022, where he should slot in as one of the team's better starters moving forward.

Astros Hope to Return to World Series and Continue Odd-Year Magic in 2021

The Astros have alternated World Series and ALCS appearances over the past four seasons, winning it all back in 2017. The team fell just shy of another Fall Classic appearance in 2020, but returns the majority of its core that has so much success over the past four seasons, which has the team poised for another very successful year. If stars like Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, and slugger Yordan Álvarez can continue to anchor the lineup, this team should continue to be in the thick of contention to win the AL West Division and beyond. We like the Astros to return to the playoffs and make some noise come October.

Who is the Houston Astros Manager?

The Astros manager is longtime MLB skipper Dusty Baker. Baker enters 2021 as his second season at the helm in Houston and while he's yet to win a World Series as manager, he's taken plenty of teams to the postseason and is known as a steadying presence for the organizations he's been a part of. With a talented roster with recent postseason experience, Baker should be a great fit longterm in H-Town.
